AISEN provides its members with quality training and acts as a platform for professional educators to share best practice. It is interested in professional conduct and education in member schools.

The group is made up of principal of member schools who monitor and maintain the standard of its member schools.

The group enjoys wide participation and its members are committed to driving the standard and ethos of the Association.

They also ensure that international standard is upheld. This is done through visits to schools every 5 years and short seminars on teachers’ standards. The group is also responsible for admitting new members into the Association.

They are responsible for following the standard procedure whereby new schools are assessed to ensure they meet the set standards of AISEN schools.

The Process

  1. Documentation: Schools first fill out forms and submit documents to support the information. The document is reviewed by the groups of schools before a school can be recommended for membership to the Board of Trustees. Some schools may, however, require clarifications; a visit is organised by the group to verify such information.
  2. Schools Visit: Schools are visited to verify documentation. The following are verified during the visits:
  • The structures and facilities in the school must be of an appropriate standard, safe and comfortable for effective teaching and learning to take place.
  • AISEN is committed to maintaining standards in the curricula of its schools, member schools are therefore approved based on the type of curriculum offered. This should meet intentional standards. A blend of the Nigerian and an international curriculum is also approved. During visits, intending schools must be able to prove that they run an international curriculum.
  • Interested schools are expected to prove that they have been duly approved y their State`s Ministry of Education in addition to accreditation by other international organisations. A Certificate of Incorporation and other relevant documents must be produced.
  • The school system must comply strictly to child protection, anti-bullying and health & safety policies. In recent times, a mental health policy for students and staff have been added.
  • The group also checks how its member schools affect communities that they belong to through CSR projects embarked upon.
  • Member schools are also encouraged to use technology n their schools; checks are done to ensure compliance.
