AISEN is committed to the continuous professional development of staff of member schools. This has led to the setting up of the CPD committee. The committee consists of a group of principals who are passionate about continuous professional development in our schools.
AISEN CPD group caters for the:
- Teaching staff
- Non-teaching staff
The principals participate by planning and executing bespoke training for all areas of the school from the security, facilities, health and safety, teaching and learning in all age groups (Early years, Keystage 1, 2, 3, 4 and sixth form).
A sub-group of appointed coordinators from each school come together to plan the sessions. Each training session has a main facilitator who drives the core of the training for an hour. The trainees then break-up into already set groups. In the groups, they go on to further drill into the practicality of the chosen topic in their specific roles at schools and come up with action points or questions. Each group has a group facilitator who is specifically trained for the role and has attended a planning session with the main facilitator.
Events for the group involve an annual ‘Train the Trainer’ session and termly planning, training and review meetings.
